Ausenco builds school for Chinese village

Ting Shang village is the poorest of 5 villages surrounding the Jinfeng Gold Mine being built by Ausenco for Sino Gold Limited in the Guizhou province of Southern China. Ausenco, its employees and its contractors are raising funds to build a new school following the collapse of the old school.
Ausenco supports Teen Challenge

The Company sponsored Brisbane Lions captain Michael Voss in a 750km charity bicycle ride in October 2005. Michael and several of his Brisbane Lions teammates and support staff raised $25,000 for Teen Challenge by riding from Coffs Harbour to Brisbane. Teen Challenge aims to eliminate the self-destructive habits of men and women aged 16–40 through not only dealing with drug and substance abuse and addiction, but also by rebuilding self-image and relationships.
Ausenco donations help Tanzanian choir travel the world!

42 talented children from a remote village in Tanzania have been given the opportunity of a lifetime – to travel overseas to perform at world renowned events. To help make this 2006 trip successful, Ausenco has made a donation towards this worthy cause. This donation assisted with airfares, transport and accommodation while in Perth; clothing, toiletries, travel bags; and new passports.

Ausenco lends its support to promote tourism in Lao PDR

Ausenco is proud to have donated $2000 to support the development and promotion of an audio-tour for Viengxay and Houaphanh Provinces in the Lao PDR as part of a campaign to promote tourism and investment in the region. The tour has been developed with the help of the local community including farmers, housewives, schoolchildren, soldiers, monks and political leaders. The initiative, lead by the Australian Embassy in Vientiane and supported by a number of Australian companies, is aimed at generating income and employment, and reducing poverty throughout district and beyond.
